MoonCadence provides computed astronomical information and honestly-framed traditional/folklore content for informational and reflective purposes only. Nothing on this site is medical, financial, legal, or psychological advice, and no full-moon "meaning" or folklore page should be read as a prediction about your health, money, or relationships.

What This Site Provides

The free tools — today's phase, monthly calendars, full-moon dates, moonrise/moonset lookups — are computed at build time or directly in your browser from real astronomical algorithms, not looked up from a static almanac. The folklore, moon-name, and meaning pages describe documented traditions and are labeled as such; where sources disagree, we say so rather than presenting one version as settled fact.

No Professional Advice

Reading about a Harvest Moon ritual, a moon-water tradition, or a full moon's traditional name is not a substitute for a doctor, financial advisor, therapist, or lawyer. If a page discusses sleep, mood, tides, or planting by the moon, treat it as cultural or observational context, never as instruction to act on instead of professional guidance.

The Personalized Lunar Calendar Purchase

The $9.99 personalized lunar calendar PDF is a one-time digital purchase processed through Stripe Checkout and fulfilled manually by a real person, typically within 24 hours of purchase, using the location, year, and optional birthday you provide at checkout. Because each PDF is individually hand-built from your data rather than mass-produced, refund requests are handled case by case — contact us before or shortly after delivery if something is wrong with your calendar (a delivery failure, an incorrect location, or an error in the computed dates) and we will fix it or refund it.

Attribution and Intellectual Property

The astronomical calculations underlying every phase, illumination figure, and rise/set time are powered by astronomy-engine, created by Don Cross and distributed under the MIT license. Our own text, design, and the specific presentation of that computed data belong to MoonCadence; you're welcome to link to any page, but wholesale copying of our folklore write-ups or design onto another site is not permitted without asking first.

Acceptable Use

Using MoonCadence means agreeing not to:

• Scrape or bulk-download the site's computed data to republish as your own astronomical service
• Attempt to interfere with, overload, or reverse-engineer the site's tools or checkout flow
• Submit false or abusive information through the contact form or checkout, including fraudulent payments
• Use the site's content in a way that misrepresents folklore as verified scientific claims

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the site's tools and products evolve. Continuing to use MoonCadence after a change means you accept the current version, which always lives at this page.
